Youth Performance Company
AkomaAsa Arts boasts a successful youth performance company for young people age 13 - 16 years. Admission take place every year.
Performing Arts Programme
Designed specifically for children and young people (CYP), our dynamic and vibrant performing arts training program is tailor-made to cultivate skills in various theatrical aspects such as drama, dance, singing, vocal technique, and musical theatre. These classes are crafted to enhance self-confidence, the art of self-expression, and character building. The program provides opportunities for CYP to showcase their acquired skills within a theatre setting, highlighting their growth and development over time.
African Dance & Drumming
African Diaspora Dance and drumming classes for adults at AkomaAsa Arts. Classes are deigned to build knowledge, skills and confidence.
To enrol in our Performing Arts program, register through our application process and attend one of our FREE taster days held in September and January each year. FREE TASTER DAY is designed to give prospective students a feel for what training at AkomaAsa is really like, it is also for academy staff to asses young people if places are to be offered. Booking is essential to attend.Dates: Our taster days only take place in September and January terms, within the 1st 2 weeks of term. They do not take place any other time.Age: You will need to be between 6 -16 years of age.
