Performing Arts Programme Tasters: September and January of each year

AkomaAsa Performing Arts FREE TASTER DAY is designed to give prospective children and young people a feel for what training at AkomaAsa Arts is really like. It is also for academy staff to determine the young person’s suitability to what we offer. 

It is a fantastic way to find out if the academy is the place for your child. It’s important to explore all of your options before making a decision.  On a taster day your child will experience a typical day first-hand and may have the opportunity to explore a combination of the following; hand drumming and percussion, various dance forms (see what we odder), acting and musical theatre.

Dates - Our taster days only take place in the first two weeks of every autumn term and in the Spring term within the first two weeks of term.  They do not take place any other time.

Age - Your child will need to be between 6 -18 years of age.

Hours /time - On taster days you will need to arrive at 11:15am. Our academy day begins at 11:45am and ends at 5:30pm.

Snacks/Lunch - You will be required to bring snacks and packed lunch and water.  Please do not bring anything with nut traces and make us fully aware if your child has any allergies.

Booking is essential.
